We launched Dementia Disco in Stockport, and its incredible success has inspired us to bring the same joy to new communities. To make this happen, we’re looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help set up and run regular discos in new locations.

Get started by making sure this is the right volunteering role for you. Below is a breakdown of the requirements and responsibilities involved in launching and maintaining your local disco.
Commitment asked
  • At least one disco per month
  • Ideally early evening, at the weekend
Activities of the role
  • Find a local, accessible venue for the disco
  • Recruit volunteers to help on the day (6 volunteers minimum)
  • Promote the disco locally
  • Prepare the raffles
  • Ensure all tickets are booked through our system
  • Manage the disco finances
  • Organise catering
  • Oversee the disco on the day
  • Capture photos and videos
